Commercial Diving Operations

UB Diving provides professional commercial diving services throughout Vancouver Island and British Columbia’s coast specializing in shellfish aquaculture support, underwater inspection work, marine construction support, vessel husbandry, salvage operations, and light commercial diving operations.

Commercial diving operations are led by Joe Conway, Commercial Diving Manager at UB Diving. Joe brings more than 14 years of experience as a commercial construction diver working on marine projects throughout Canada and internationally. His experience includes underwater welding, cutting, salvage operations, vessel husbandry, marine construction support, and complex underwater problem solving in demanding marine environments.

Joe’s diving career actually began at UB Diving where he first started working around the dive shop as a kid pushing a broom before later completing his first scuba training with Sean at UB Diving. He eventually continued on to commercial dive school before building a successful international career in commercial construction diving and marine operations.

Today Joe leads the commercial diving division at UB Diving bringing extensive field experience, professionalism, practical problem-solving ability, and real-world marine operational knowledge to every project the company undertakes.

The commercial diving crew at UB Diving combines experienced divers, marine professionals, technologists, support personnel, and aquaculture specialists with decades of combined operational experience throughout British Columbia’s marine environments.

Sustainable aquaculture practices remain a major focus of UB Diving’s commercial operations. The company has extensive experience supporting shellfish aquaculture projects including underwater inspection work, site support, marine maintenance, mooring systems, underwater recovery, and operational diving support throughout coastal British Columbia.

In addition to larger marine and aquaculture operations, UB Diving also provides professional diving support for smaller marine projects requiring experienced commercial divers, practical marine knowledge, and safe professional underwater operations.
