Joe Conway leads UB Diving's commercial diving operations, bringing extensive experience in underwater construction, welding and cutting, salvage, marine infrastructure, vessel husbandry, underwater inspections, and specialized industrial diving.
His responsibilities include project planning, diving personnel, equipment coordination, vessel support, and the execution of commercial diving operations.
Joe works directly with project representatives to assess underwater work requirements, develop practical approaches, and coordinate the resources necessary to complete the work.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
Joe's history with UB Diving began before his commercial diving career. He worked in the dive shop as a teenager and completed his initial scuba training through UB Diving.
After attending commercial diving school, he established a career in commercial construction diving, working on projects throughout Canada and internationally.
He returned to UB Diving with the experience and qualifications to lead the company's commercial diving division.

SEAN SMYRICHINSKY
Sean founded UB Diving in 1999 and has worked in commercial diving and marine operations since 1995.
His background includes commercial fishing, aquaculture development, vessel operations, underwater construction support, and specialized marine projects throughout British Columbia's coastal waters.
Since 2010, Sean has been extensively involved in geoduck aquaculture, contributing to research, development, innovation, and practical field systems used throughout the industry.
His experience includes broodstock collection, nursery development, grow-out site installation, underwater construction, farm maintenance, and operational troubleshooting.
Sean has worked with First Nations, private investors, and coastal aquaculture operations, providing practical knowledge across numerous geoduck farming systems.
Today, Sean supports the commercial division through marine operations expertise, vessel resources, equipment, and specialized aquaculture knowledge.
