Not Your Typical Dive Shop

UB Diving is not just a retail storefront that occasionally teaches scuba. We are active cold-water divers, instructors,  commercial divers, gas blenders, equipment service technicians and expedition leaders working in British Columbia’s marine environment.

Whether you are booking your first scuba course, preparing for a technical or rebreather dive, arranging service work, planning a Port Hardy expedition, diving the Nanaimo wrecks, or looking for commercial marine support, you are dealing with people who actively dive, operate boats, service equipment, and work in BC waters.

Built For British Columbia Conditions

UB Diving has spent decades helping divers train, explore and work in British Columbia’s cold-water marine environment. Our instruction and operations are influenced by commercial diving, technical diving, rebreather support, expedition planning, search-and-recovery thinking, equipment service, gas blending and practical vessel operations.

Our goal is not just to help you complete a course or book a dive. Our goal is to help you become safer, more capable and better prepared for real Vancouver Island diving.

Boat-Based Diving Matters

UB Diving operates real dive vessels, including Good Vibrations and SkyDiver. Our boat-based diving program supports Nanaimo wreck diving, Port Hardy expeditions, club trips, underwater photographers, technical divers, rebreather divers and serious cold-water divers who want access to better sites without settling for roadside shore-diving logistics.
