Operations Manager / Administration

Shellie Smyrichinsky is an integral part of the operational foundation behind UB Diving, helping manage the daily logistics, customer coordination, training schedules, and organizational workflow that keep one of British Columbia’s established cold-water diving operations running smoothly.

Before entering the diving industry full-time, Shellie worked as a Unit Coordinator at Vancouver General Hospital, where she developed the strong administrative and organizational skills that continue to support UB Diving today.

From helping new divers begin their underwater adventures to coordinating expedition logistics and supporting day-to-day shop operations, Shellie plays a key role in creating the welcoming and professional environment UB Diving has become known for throughout Vancouver Island and British Columbia.

Known for her friendly personality and hands-on approach, Shellie genuinely enjoys connecting with divers and helping customers feel comfortable whether they are preparing for their first dive course, servicing equipment, or joining a cold-water diving expedition.

Around the shop, Shellie is rarely far from her trusted companion Koda the German Shepherd, who has become a familiar face to many returning UB Diving customers and expedition guests.
